Terms of Service
Last updated: October 30, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Denver Cowan, an individual in North Carolina ("we", "us"), who runs HooginAI at hooginai.com (the "Service"). By signing up, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Not investment advice
Read this section carefully.
- HooginAI is a general, impersonal newsletter. Everyone who follows a stock gets the same summary. It isn't written for you, doesn't consider your finances or goals, and isn't a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.
- We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or financial planner. Using the Service doesn't create an advisory or fiduciary relationship.
- Summaries are generated by an AI model from third-party news and market data. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and the underlying data can be wrong too.
- Do your own research, and consider talking to a licensed professional before you make investment decisions. You alone are responsible for your decisions and their results.
2. The Service
- You choose stocks to follow, and we email you about them on weekdays: every weekday, twice a week (Monday and Friday), or weekly (Monday), as you choose. Emails sent less often than every weekday recap what happened since the last one.
- Free plan: up to 5 stocks.
- Paid plan: up to 20 stocks and earnings breakdowns, plus other paid features as we add them.
- We may change, add or remove features, change plan limits, or stop the Service. If we discontinue the paid plan, we'll refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
3. Your account
- Sign up with an email address you own. You must be at least 18.
- You manage your account through the private link in your emails. Don't share it: anyone with the link can change your stocks and settings. If you think it has leaked, tell us at [email protected].
- You can unsubscribe from any email.
4. Paid plan, billing and refunds
- Who sells it: paid plans are sold through Link, the checkout service of our payment provider Stripe, which acts as the seller (merchant of record). Link processes your payment, collects any sales tax or VAT, sends your receipts, and lets you manage your subscription at link.com. We never see or store your card number.
- Prices: $5.99 per month or $59 per year, plus any applicable taxes, which are shown at checkout.
- Renewal: plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of a price change, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
- Cancel anytime from the billing link on your preferences page, or at link.com. You keep paid access until the end of the period you've paid for, and then your account moves to the free plan. Your stock picks are kept, but your emails include only as many as the free plan allows, starting with the ones you added first, until you choose which to keep.
- Refunds:
- Monthly: no refunds, including for partial months.
- Annual: a full refund if you ask within 7 days of the first annual charge. No refunds after that.
- Link and Stripe may also issue refunds under their own policies, and where the law requires one (for example, a cooling-off period in some countries), you'll get it.
- Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, you keep paid access while Stripe retries it. If it can't be collected, the subscription ends and your account moves to the free plan.
5. Acceptable use
Don't:
- sign up email addresses that aren't yours, or use bots to sign up;
- try to break, overload, scrape or probe the Service;
- resell or republish the emails as your own product.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, or whose bounces or spam complaints put our ability to send email at risk. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we'll refund the unused part of the period.
6. Content and data
- The emails and the site belong to us or our data providers. You may read them and share an occasional excerpt with attribution, but don't redistribute them in bulk.
- Market data, news and filings come from third-party providers. We don't guarantee that they're accurate or available.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Emails may be late, missing or wrong.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for trading or investment losses, or for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data.
- Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.
Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
9. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used the Service or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For significant changes, we'll email you at least 14 days ahead. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Johnston County, North Carolina, and both you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead.
